Free bill breakdown
Send me a photo of your bill. I'll explain every line.
You open your electric, gas, or water bill, the number's gone up again, and half the charges don't even have names you recognize. I'm an engineer who consulted for the Public Service Commission. Send me a photo and I'll tell you, in plain English, what every charge is, why it's so high, and what you can do about it. Free, and it's really me, not a staffer and not a bot.

How it works
Snap a photo of your bill. Electric, gas, or water. Any company, anywhere in Louisiana.
Tap the button and attach the photo. Then hit send. That's the whole ask.
I read every one myself and reply with a plain-English breakdown. Give me a few days. I'm one person, not a call center.
Why I can actually do this
I'm Chris Justin, a licensed engineer who consulted for the Public Service Commission, the board that votes on what most of Louisiana pays for electricity, gas, and water. I can read the 800-page filings the utilities hope nobody opens, the ones where the real money is buried.
Now I'm running for that Commission, with no party label and zero utility money, to hold them accountable. Reading your bill and telling you the truth about it is exactly the job. I'm running in District 1, but I'll help anyone in Louisiana understand their bill.
What you'll get back
- What every charge on your bill actually is, in plain words.
- What's a fair cost of service and what's padding you're paying for.
- Which charges are driving the bill up, and why.
- A few specific ways to bring the bill down, from efficiency fixes to billing options and assistance programs you may qualify for.
It's free, and it's really me. Not a form letter, not a bot.
Your information stays private. I won't sell it, I won't share your bill, and I strip out anything personal before I ever use it. See our Privacy Policy.
You'll also get campaign updates. Sending your bill also signs you up for occasional updates about your bills and the Commission. Unsubscribe anytime, one click, no hard feelings.
Helping others. I may share an anonymized version of a bill, with your name, address, and account number removed, so other folks can understand theirs. If you'd rather I didn't, just reply and say so.
This is free help understanding your bill. It isn't financial, legal, or tax advice. If you're facing a shutoff or you can't pay, contact your utility right away or call 211.
