Entergy is literally writing their own rules

Entergy is literally writing their own rules at the Public Service Commission.

You know the $50B Meta data center project requiring 7 times the electricity demand of New Orleans on the hottest day of the year?

The power generation for that project was initially approved by the Public Service Commission last August, but this week we found out that Entergy Louisiana literally wrote the rules that will double their business.

The Public Service Commission is supposed to keep utilities in check, but most Commissioners are

  • career politicians (not utility regulation experts)
  • funded by utilities

So we end up having “captured” regulators who literally pass off Entergy’s work as their own, and we pay the price for it.

Monopoly utilities have a financial and legal responsibility to extract every cent they can from us. For it to be a fair fight, we need to elect an independent engineer to the Public Service Commission, and not another bought and paid for career politician.

We can win, but we need your help. You can help by sharing this with a friend, hosting a yard sign, or volunteering.
